Sure— you could take a plane and travel anywhere you want to go within the contiguous U.S., but why on earth would you when you can drive there in your new 2018 Lincoln Navigator? It’s First Class all the way, every day. The all-new Lincoln Navigator is going to be even more spectacular than ever as it rolls out its Fourth Generation for 2018 and you can come see it or schedule a test drive at Angela Krause Lincoln of Alpharetta for its highly-anticipated debut this September.
But in the meantime, let’s take a look at what you can expect from this rolling entourage of cutting-edge technology, high end materials, and masterful design that is certain to be a very strong contender in the full-size luxury SUV arena for 2018. To begin with, it’s hard to believe that the Lincoln Navigator has only been around since 1998, but it’s easy to see that it’s going to be around for many years to come. Edmunds says this: “Faster and more luxurious, the 2018 Lincoln Navigator is one of our favorite luxury SUVs.” Well, you can’t beat that with a stick.
The beautifully crafted exterior of the new Lincoln Navigator is about 200 pounds lighter due to its all-aluminum body. It features LED headlights and clean, classic lines, a new grille that mimics that of the Lincoln Continental, and a new front end that gives the Navigator a more unified look overall. With just one look, you will instantly know it’s the complete package. Inside, you will immediately notice that everything is neat and tidy and cubbyholes are tucked away until you need them. The interior is unbelievably sophisticated and plush and is generous enough for 6 adult-sized people. There is also a second-row bench seat available to accommodate 7 people.
For the 2018 Lincoln Navigator, there are four trim levels from which to choose: Premier, Select, Reserve, and Black Label. The Black Label trim comes standard with all-wheel drive and offers three exclusive themes: Destination, Yacht Club, and Chalet. There is only one engine available for the 2018 Navigator: A twin Turbocharged 3.5L V6 that makes 450 hp and 500 lb-ft of torque. Yep, that should do it.
Mated to this massive power is a 10-speed SelectShift automatic transmission that has dash-mounted gear shifters that look like shiny ebony piano keys. With all this going for it, if you have been thinking about upgrading to a bigger boat, now would be a good time. Although at the time of this writing, towing capacity had not been revealed, there is the promise of class-leading towing capability on the way.
In order to add to your driving preference and safety, the new Lincoln Navigator offers multiple drive modes that will automatically adjust engine calibrations, suspension, and steering to better accommodate driving conditions and terrain. It also automatically adjusts for towing mode when it senses a utility trailer has been connected. Good looking and smart is a hard combination to beat.
Although the 2018 Lincoln Navigator is a beast to drive, it is smooth, agile, and quick on the road. You will also notice how quiet it is thanks to the laminated windows and noise-cancelling system. This is really important when it comes to listening to your favorite music on the premium 20-speaker Revel Ultima Stereo system. The French-stitched supple leather seats offer both driver and passenger available 30 -way power adjustable configurations that effortlessly ease you into your comfort zone. Second-row captain’s chairs tilt forward and adjust fore and aft for seamless third-row access. Nothing was held back with this complete redesign.
The 2018 Lincoln Navigator Premier comes standard with LED headlights, power hands-free liftgate, driver memory seat settings, automatic climate control for all three seating rows, trailer towing package, power folding 60/40 split third row bench, keyless entry and ignition, front and rear parking sensors, 20” wheels, first and second-row leather upholstery with premium third row vinyl, power tilt and telescoping steering wheel, power-adjustable pedals, eight-way power front seats with heating and power lumbar adjustment, folding second-row captain’s chairs, a 14 speaker surround sound audio system, rearview camera, blind-spot monitoring with rear-cross traffic alert, 10-inch touchscreen with Sync 3 interface, configurable gauge cluster display, voice controls, navigation, Apple CarPlay, is Android Auto compatible, and has six USB ports cabin wide.
The 2018 Lincoln Navigator Select comes loaded with all the Premier’s standards and adds power-folding running boards, 22-inch wheels, surround-view parking camera system, wireless charging pad for personal media, upgraded leather upholstery, adaptive suspension dampers, and a heated steering wheel.
The 2018 Lincoln Navigator Reserve offers everything from the Premier and Select and adds illuminated seat belt buckles, exterior welcome lights with Lincoln insignia, 24-way power adjustable front seats with ventilation, and a beautiful panoramic sunroof.
The Select and Reserve offer an optional Technology Package that upgrades the trims with a heavy-duty trailer tow package, forward collision mitigation with automatic braking, adaptive cruise control, head-up display, automated parking system, and automatic high beams.
The 2018 Lincoln Navigator Black Label is loaded with everything from the Premier, Select, Reserve, and the Technology Package is also included. To this, the following is added: premium leather upholstery, higher levels of exterior chrome trim, Revel Ultima 20-speaker sound system, and ambient lighting throughout. If you want more, you can have it! A rear-seat entertainment system that includes dual headrest screen displays can be had along with an upgrade to 30-way power adjusted front seats with massage.
Your Lincoln Black Label opens the door to your exclusive Black Label membership that gives you access to Culinary Concierge, Maintenance Concierge, and if you don’t want to hire Uber or Lyft for a special night out on the town how about this: By becoming a member of the Black Label club, you can hire your own chauffer to drive you around in your own Lincoln. Not too shabby, eh?
The 2018 Lincoln Navigator L features an extended wheel base and is approximately a foot longer than the standard model. It offers storage underneath the floor and 15 additional cubic feet of storage behind the third row. You can also expect to find the second-row door opening to be larger in order to provide greater entry and exit for passengers. The Premier model is the only one that is not offered with the extended wheel base.
The 2018 Lincoln Navigator will also offer an adjustable shelf behind third-row seating to keep storage under control. It offers 6 USB ports, 4-12V outlets, a household-style plug, and a wireless phone charging station. The second-row passengers can have access to their own climate and audio controls and third-row passengers can have access to power reclining seats. Power, looks, luxury, capability, entertainment, comfort, and the “feel-good in your belly” sensation you get from seeing your Lincoln parked in your driveway should be reason enough to come on by Angela Krause Lincoln of Alpharetta where you can get the best deal on your new 2018 Lincoln Navigator. It’s going to be awesome, and it’s going to blow away the competition!
